Job Offer for System and application DevOps engineer (m/f)

LU-CIX, the heart of the Luxembourg Internet, operates multiple solutions supporting secure and sovereign electronic communications in a public-private partnership mode. In an engaged and motivated team, you will be responsible for developing and operating the Luxchat mobile apps, backend applications and their related IT systems and databases.

Main Tasks:

• Manage and follow-up external app development
• Test custom developed mobile and desktop apps
• Manage and operate opensource application stacks
• Level 2 support for customer helpdesks
• Manage and operate the LU-CIX IT system infrastructure
• Automate recurring tasks, script application configuration and deployment
• Monitor operational parameters
• Ensure optimized security and performance of the applications

You will be required to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Skills:

• Software lifecycle management, GitOps
• Mobile app ecosystem (Apple and Android)
• Unix system administration
• Database administration
• Virtualization and containerization technologies
• IT automation and DevOps operation
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Python for application development and scripting
• Authentication and single sign on standards
• Good understanding of application and system security measures

You should display team spirit, be flexible, show decision-making skills and be organized.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Be fluent in French and English
• Understanding and speaking Luxemburgish will be considered as an asset
