Gilles Massen joined the RESTENA Foundation in 1999 and was involved in many projects since that time. His core tasks had been the technical and policy development of the .lu registry, but the scope of his
responsibilities widened when being appointed as the Foundation’s CEO in 2017. As former member of RESTENA’s CSIRT Team, he has a keen eye on operational security as well as privacy concerns. In October 2016, he took over the role of COO of LU-CIX Management GIE.
Gilles is a vocal proponent of implementing current best practices, including IPv6, DNSSEC and BCP38, contributing to build a robust and trustworthy infrastructure for the benefit of the Luxembourg Internet community.
